Tandem paragliding flights are mostly done from Lions Head or Signal Hill inside the beautiful Table Mountain National Park. Tandem paragliding flights generally last anything from 7 to 20 minutes, unfortunately the time spent in the air can not be guaranteed as we are totally reliant on the weather conditions on the day. Here at Fly Cape Town Paragliding we love to paraglide and your pilot will stay in the air with you for as long as possible. Our landing fields are either at the Camps Bay High school sports field in front of the Bungalow restaurant or at the Seapoint promenade in front of the Winchester Mansions. The landing area depends on the general wind direction on the day.

After a false start on Tuesday due to the weather Safety comes first! Four of us got out for tandem flights with Eddie and the gang on Wednesday afternoon in the gorgeous afternoon sun. A great experience for all … adults and teens! We had fantastic views over Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, the waterfront and then the sea’s edge! The pilots were particularly good with the teenagers inflight! Just an all round WOW!

My wife and I really enjoyed it. Probably the closest thing to flying I'll ever experience. I initially thought that I would be too heavy to do tandem paragliding, being 6'1" and weighing 230lbs (about 105kg for non-Americans). But I wasn't. I was under the weight limit by a small margin. I think the limit is 250lbs for one person if I'm not mistaken. I could be wrong. My instructor was about my size so the both of us working together made my experience so much fun. And the workers seem to really love doing what they do for a living. Such a fun environment. The next time I'm in Cape Town, I'll definitely do it again.
